NEC Surrey Colts League - 16th Annual General Meeting
at Wimbledon CC, Church Road, Wimbledon, SW19 5AG
on Friday 5th December 2008 at 8.15 pm
AGENDA

· Additional Members (not normally to exceed 5): re-elected are Graham Mills, Mike Woods, and Derek Warne.

New Clubs: to approve the sending of an application form to Oxted & Limpsfield CC - approved.

Changes to the Constitution and League Rules:
Add new rule:
11i) No player who has played for a County or District Representative side in the season in question (or preceding season) may represent a club in a B team league. Any team playing such a player shall forfeit all points for the match in question and the points will be awarded to the opposing side. If both sides play such players then no points will be awarded (Committee). AGREED!
- Other Motions
a) That the under 9 league games should be on Sunday mornings and the under 10 league games on Monday evenings (Committee) - defeated.
b) That the under 16 league be designated as a league under rule 12g where clubs may agree alternative dates to play games provided that the rearranged date is notified to the committee before the start of the league programme. (Committee) - carried.
c) That the league offers clubs the option of an u11 league playing to intermediate rules except pitch length in addition to a pairs league. (Committee) - carried.
d) Where any club (the affected club) competing in the NEC League has a league match scheduled such that four or more first team selection colts have a conflicting Surrey District or CAG match it is the prerogative of the manager to request to the NEC Committee and/or Secretary that the match be rescheduled in order to avoid such a conflict. The opposing manager has the right to offer at least 2 dates (which must not clash with other NEC league fixtures) within a period of 2 weeks either side of the original fixture date. The affected club may then choose either of those dates, or opt to stay with the original fixture date. (Spencer) - defeated.

- Umpires - clubs agreed to set aside one or two evenings pre-season so that a qualified umpire could talk to team managers, old and new, about the basic laws of the game.
